Four By Five!

'Ello there.
This photo is my friend the MonBot. I took this with a 4x5 camera. It's huge, complicated and cool. This camera is made up of a bellows(think accordion) view finder(to set fstops and speed) and a back plate that shows the image upside down. This is the type of camera you need a cloth for to see the image clearly. You put a black cloth over you and the camera and try to figure out what you want to keep in focus. The negatives at gigantic. You need to place them inside this big negative carrier. It's pretty sweet, but like I said, complicated. I took this photo on the streets and people were constantly walking by, slowing down, wondering what was going on. I definitely did not ask Mon to look like she was going to kill me when I took the shot, but I think because of it she looks so 80's. Mon is normally my model for almost all of my photoshoots. I want to try and use variety this year when it comes to models. So if you know me and want to be a model, I'll love you forever, or you know someone, I will be totally gracious. The more models, the better!
The image was printed on Fiber based paper. It's apparently more archival than RC paper. But Fiber paper is a bit more of a pain in the ass. It curls when it dries so you need to hot press it down. Ugh. Something I never got in the habit of.
I am really tired. I have been feeling really icky the last few days. I also have a swollen right eye and its making me kinda grumpy.
I am excited for tomorrow because my love's sister is coming to town! Yay! So I may not be around much this weekend either. I will be thinking of you.
