Go there!

If I knew how to work the labels section of my blog I would be creating a new section for artists I think you would enjoy and galleries to visit whenever you have the chance, but I don't know how to work it or get my twitter page on here so my blog stays boring and simple until someone tells me what to do....
Until then...
Classes went well today. They pretty much flew by. 10-5:30 wasn't a bad deal. My Middle East Art class was awesome because we watched a cool video on Morocco(need to go... or at least eat Moroccan food right now) Media was ok, my teacher is funny, but still a jerk. For Critical issues we went to some galleries. I recommend the U.Penn show not the ICA show...
ICA was a comic strip show of weird looking characters having weird looking sex. Robert Crumb probably was a genius and only one of a kind, but he had one hell of a effed up mind. I got out of there as soon as I thought I could and came home. (my teacher wanted us to go up 30 minutes away from where we already were and I said, NO...)
The U.Penn exhibition was beautiful. I took a book from the show that displays all the photographs that were there... Sally Mann had some photos.... Nan Goldin.... Diane Arbus.... Meatyard....and so on. I loved it. It was finominal! The photograph from nan Goldin was one I had never seen before, but then again I am not a huge fan and don't really look at her work, but you see the same ones when people do presentations on her in class, this one was new.
Sally Mann, if you have ever heard of her, is a wonderful photographer who received alot of criticism because she photographed her children...(nude, smoking, and other things children should not be doing) If you forget about that part of her photographs you will truly see the beauty behind the image and the elegance of it all. Sally Mann knows how to take a photograph.
Meatyard is a little weird for my taste. He photographs the oddest things...like... men with prostectic arms and people doing normal things wearing halloween masks. He really is an odd duck but takes great photographs.
If I knew how to work labels this one would go under weird stories of my day...
First thing this morning I was hit on by a guy on the train who did not read just any book, but stuff like Moby Dick "thick books like this thick"...
Give me a break dude.
Is that the first book that came to mind when you saw me reading a "thick book" because when you were in high school you didnt want to read Moby Dick because it was a "thick book"? Puhleez.
He actually sat next to me. He sat on the otherside of the train, but when he said "What are you reading?" and I(not a mean person) said "A book that only females could enjoy" he came over and sat next to me.
Men, let me tell you something... That is not an invitation to sit next to me. That is definitely a sign I want you to leave me alone and let me read.
Besides who sits next to a stranger like that? He like snuggled on me. ew.
After me putting alot of effort into not being interested in talking to him(which did not work well at first) he got up and left me to read. Thank you. But don't feel too bummed "Thick Book" Guy, I will laugh about you later and write about you in my blog. Just next time don't bother me while I am reading, it's rude.
