Scheherezade Goes West

I have to read a book for my Middle East Art and Culture class called Scheherezade Goes West it is amazing so far and I have only read 3 chapters. Rarely enjoy books given to me to read by teachers. Normally I suffer. This book is informative and interesting. The author puts "harems" into perspective for ignorant Westerners. I love it. If you want a book that's not just straight non-fiction, but actually funny, this is definitely for you. I really like this teacher's book choice for class. The first time I had her I read "Guns, germs, and steel" by Jared Diamond and loved that. It's all non-fiction, but the writing is perfect for those who prefer fiction, but always wanted to read the N word of the literary world. Go for it.
