Some things...

I figured I would post some of my favorite pieces from my Junior year of college. All of it is film. Printed darkroom style(color and BW) This piece was actually not. It is actually digital prints. I had to photograph aluminum foil. I went through a phase of collaging images(stained glass style) Here is the result. Mind you, this is actually a piece. It is on 24 x 36 Matte Board. The pieces are randomly cut by myself and placed upon the board. I used actual aluminum just for the hell of it.
I think about my style this past Junior year and it really does not reflect me exactly. To be honest when I do the pieces at school I am experimenting. Sometimes I get some good stuff other times I fall short of bad(meaning I am horrible). I like the direction I am going in recently, so hopefully I will be able to continue on and make it work somehow for school. Ugh, almost two weeks left til classes begin... Bleh.
I am posting now because I just got home from el job-o and am watching women's balance beam. My mom pointed out to me how cool it would be if I was a photographer at the Olympics. You mean the ones that are constantly in their faces and snapping away when they failed to do it perfectly and have no concept of personal space??? Yea, that's totally my personality.... I hate those razzi photogs. I would never want to harass a person.
Anything else???
Nah.

You, a razzi photog? It would certainly take some practice. Or you could just keep doing your thing, I like that idea better.
For this shot with the aluminum foil, were you using different backlights to color the pieces or something else?

PS - Can't wait to see your shots from the event, your teasers are awesome. Cheers

I took regular ole' shots of aluminum and then just colored them in photoshop.
Sometimes I would use a flashlight to light the aluminum to create weird shadows or cool highlights, but I did not use a colored filter or anything.

I would never think of being a razzi...ick.
And thanks for the compliment :)
