Presets....????

I downloaded some presets from Adobe for Lightroom. Some of them I think are useful... others... I wonder what you would actually use them for... like... Night Grotto???? It makes things green...why? I can understand maybe if you were doing some cool halloween photoshoot, but green? Uh....No one wants to be green except the Wicked Witch of the West, and if you've read Wicked, even she didn't enjoy being green.
This photo was from the wedding I assisted Kamila on Saturday. I may be weird because I have always enjoyed fine detail and super contrast. While at school I am taught the perfect art of dark room development and to never ever be contrasty unless necessary. Well, who really defines necessary and unnecessary except for yourself? I say it's good, therefore your opinion is great and everything, but I choose to do it like so. I also prefer natural light to anything strong and fake. Probably why softboxes are such great creations in the photography world because softboxes are daylight balanced and the diffusion allows for a soft light similar to natural light through a window.
I seriously sometimes don't realize how much I've learned at school until I sit down and actually think about it. I know how to light metal so if you've been dying to photograph that really cool sword in your bedroom, I am all yours. I also understand weird lingo like "dumping" and 'slave' and what a grid spot is as well as sync cord... yada yada yada. I am not bragging here, I think it's pretty amazing that when I graduate in 2009 I will know a good deal.
Anyway. I think I've completed this entry for today. Adios!

I like that shot, a lot, and I love super contrasty black and white - and I think you seriously know more about photography than I do.

Oh and also some lightroom presets are super odd.

Last one I promise.

We totally took apart that hotel room and lobby as we saw fit.

I love that. LOL.
